Aidan Turner has got pulses racing everywhere since he started stripping off for his role as Ross Poldark.
But co-star Eleanor Tomlinson seems immune to his charms, and abs, revealing she thinks the reaction has been "daft".
Discussing the fan frenzy surrounding Turner's scything scenes in Poldark, she told BBC Breakfast: "Aidan would much prefer to be known for his performance four years in, but he's a very good-looking man.
"It's daft it's on every cover of every paper."
She added: "It seems a shame it keeps coming back to that. I've not spoken to him about it, but I'm sure he's taking it in his stride like the gentleman he is."
Tomlinson added that she didn't think Poldark would be returning to screens following its fifth series – at least for some time.
"We're about to take on our last series, who knows if there will be more.
"There's a big time jump in the book, so we need to look after that and look after the book, and either find a way of bridging that gap or perhaps having a little break and coming back later?
"We don't know quite yet what we'll do.
"It's amazing that we've come this far, I was watching that clip thinking how young we look. We're going into our fifth series now and we've become a slightly bizarre family."
Turner recently hinted the show could return in 10 years, which would follow the 11-year-gap between the original books by Winston Graham.
"You don't want things to go on too long and just limp out the backdoor," he said. "So I think next year [the fifth series] might be the last one – certainly for a while. We may come back. Who knows?"
He added: "The jump is huge. But I'm not putting grey in my hair [for the next series] or anything like that. I'll come back in 10 years and revisit it the right way."
Poldark will return to BBC One for a new series in June.
